Macambo snacks, an ancient Amazonian fruit and a direct relative of cacao.
We created a packaging system for Canopy Bridge, a culinary innovation project that uses Amazonian ingredients to create delicious and sustainable food and snacks.
The system is based on a series of modules that tell the story of its ingredients. We created a series of geometric icons—expressive abstractions of the elements that make up the Amazonian natural landscape: leaves, flowers, roots, soil, and fruits—that can be combined to create scenes or used individually to distinguish products. The system is designed to be replicable and to expand as the brand develops new lines and products.
Macambo is a very unique seed; its color and texture make it look like a fossil. We wanted to replicate this feeling by composing the illustrations in a solid, geometric way.
Since it is a fruit that comes from the jungle, we created accompanying modules that showcase the natural landscape where macambo originates. These modules serve as puzzle pieces that can be combined in an infinite number of ways.
